Curriculum vitae
Academic profile & experience
Intellectual historian, lecturer, writer and podcaster working on political thought, religion and the problem of faction in eighteenth-century Britain.
Profile
I am a PhD candidate in Intellectual History at the University of Buckingham’s Humanities Research Institute. My work examines how writers in eighteenth-century England understood political and religious division after the Glorious Revolution, with particular attention to party, faction, loyal opposition and political order.
Alongside my research, I teach intellectual and political history, contribute to academic service, write for wider audiences and co-host Beyond the Text, a long-form podcast and reading club devoted to ideas in historical context.
